Abraham Shafi is the CEO and Founder of getTalent, which started out as his undergraduate thesis at UC Berkeley. His goal is to help companies create and nurture meaningful relationships with prospective hires earlier on in the recruiting life-cycle. Prior to starting getTalent while he was still in school, he worked at Google on big data management and optimization for the maps division.
Abraham studied Science, Society, and Technology in the Interdisciplinary Studies Field Major department at the University of California Berkeley.

Executive Vice-President / CFO
Kevin brings to getTalent 25 years of executive experience, with a specific focus in human resources. He has been the founder of four discrete HR technology/services startups, all of which were successfully sold – most recently: Emportal sold to SilkRoad – enterprise SaaS HRMS, The Outsource Group sold to General Atlantic Partners – SMB HR-outsourcing services.
Kevin has received numerous awards and recognition, the most notable of which are: HRO Today Magazine — one of the 100 Superstars of HR Outsourcing in the US, Kingston’s National Registry of Who’s Who in America, #1 on Inc Magazine’s INC500 list, and winner of Ernst&Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
Kevin has a post graduate management degree, and he is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
Kevin’s passions are his family, golf, red wine, impactful technologies, stimulating conversations, and … if time permits, changing the world!
Account Executive, Sales
Lauren Frei is the Account Executive at getTalent. She brings 4 years of executive-level recruiting experience, with specific focus on attracting and engaging the passive candidate pool. She was previously a Sr. Project Director for one of the nation’s leading search firms, working with a wide variety of industries and businesses ranging from Fortune 500 companies down to investment-backed startups. In addition to being named Recruiter of the Month 12 times, she consistently exceeded corporate production benchmarks and goals quarter over quarter.
Lauren studied International Relations, Anthropology and Spanish at St. Mary’s College of California, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. She was a member of their Division I Collegiate Lacrosse team. Her passions include running, travelling, music, the outdoors, reading, exploring social issues and personalizing the recruiting process and experience.
Vincent brings over 20 years of design and product development to getTalent. He has extensive experience in brand strategy, marketing, and in all aspects of product design, development, and deployment. With an emphasis on user-friendly UI design, whether it be for web, print, or mobile platforms, he has developed effective, targeted design solutions for consumer and business-to-business applications.
Goal- and result-driven with a solid background in project management, Vincent has held key strategic and senior management positions in several entrepreneurial companies.
Patrick comes to getTalent with 12 Years of hands on experience in enterprise software development and project management. Patrick has extensive knowledge in web, Windows and mobile development. He has been a founding party in 2 previous startups and has extensive experience in leading and implementing projects and responsibilities including all stages of project planning and software development life cycles, client interaction, problem definition, requirement analysis, architecture, development planning, research, system design, scheduling, coding, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and more.
Patrick graduated from Notre Dame University with a minor in Business and a major in Computer Science and has completed a Masters Equivalency in Project Management (PMP).
